Draft — pending legal review

This privacy policy is an unreviewed working draft prepared without legal counsel. It is not yet approved as a final legal document and may change. It is provided for transparency only — do not rely on it as a binding agreement. A licensed attorney must review this document before Banqloop treats it as final.

Privacy Policy

Draft version 0.1 · September 12, 2026 · Pending review by legal counsel — the notice above takes precedence over any statement below in case of conflict.

1. Overview

Banqloop (“Banqloop,” “we,” “us”) provides an infrastructure-intelligence platform that uses cameras and sensors mounted on government and commercial fleet vehicles to detect road and drainage defects. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information collected through this website (banqloop.com) and through the Banqloop platform.

This is a working draft prepared for public transparency while legal review is in progress. Where this draft and a signed customer agreement describe the same subject differently, the signed agreement controls for that customer.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request a pilot, contact us, or create an account, we collect the information you provide, which may include:

  • Pilot requests: name, work email address, organization, job title, city, state, the size of your road network, your current inspection method, and any message you include.
  • Accounts: name, work email address, and a password for dashboard or portal access.
  • Correspondence: the contents of email and other messages you send us.

Information collected by the platform

When a customer deploys the Banqloop platform on its vehicles, the platform processes on the customer’s behalf:

  • Camera imagery of public roads: still images captured by vehicle-mounted cameras and used to detect road-surface and drainage defects.
  • Location data: GPS coordinates of the equipped vehicle at the time imagery or telemetry is captured, so detections can be mapped to road segments.
  • Device telemetry: operational health of the on-vehicle device (for example, temperature, storage, and connectivity status).
  • Derived data: detected defect classifications, confidence levels, and resulting work-order records.

Information collected automatically

We collect standard web-server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request time) for security and reliability when you use this website or the platform applications.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • The platform does not identify individuals: it does not perform facial recognition or biometric analysis, and it does not read, index, or search license plates. Imagery is processed for road-surface and drainage-defect detection.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and this website is directed to government and utility professionals, not to consumers or children.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to pilot requests and other inquiries, and evaluate pilot fit.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the platform — including processing imagery into defect detections and delivering them to the customer’s dashboard.
  • Provide service communications to pilot participants and account holders (for example, account access, password resets, and service updates).
  • Comply with law and protect the rights, property, and safety of others.

We use personal information for purposes that are reasonably necessary for, and compatible with, the purposes described in this policy.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as described in this policy:

  • Service providers. We use contracted providers to host and deliver the service, including Google Cloud (cloud hosting, United States) and Cloudflare (web and network infrastructure). Transactional email is delivered through Resend. Each provider is restricted to using personal information only for the specific purpose of providing services to us, and may not retain, use, or disclose it for any other purpose.
  • Business transfers. If Banqloop is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal information may be transferred, subject to this policy.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose personal information where required by law or legal process.

6. Government customer data

Data processed through the Banqloop platform for a government customer — including imagery, location data, detections, and end-user account information — is handled in accordance with that customer’s agreement with Banqloop and applicable public-records and records-retention requirements. Where a customer agreement imposes additional confidentiality, retention, or disclosure obligations, those obligations control for that customer’s data. Requests relating to such data may be directed to us and, where the agreement requires, will be coordinated with the customer.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by a customer agreement or law, and then delete or de-identify it. For platform data, retention windows are configured in agreement with each customer and enforced through technical controls in the platform. Pilot-request information is retained while the request is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can follow up, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

8. Your privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information, subject to exceptions. You may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell (we do not sell), or share about you, and to access and port it.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information (we do not use personal information for the purposes that trigger this right).
  • Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

Residents of other states with similar privacy laws may contact us using the details below and we will honor applicable requests to the extent required by those laws.

To exercise a right, email hello@banqloop.com. We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the time frames required by applicable law.

9. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Platform connections — including device-to-cloud data transport — are encrypted in transit, and access to customer data is restricted to personnel and processes that need it to operate the service. No system is completely secure; if we learn of a security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate, take responsive steps, and notify affected parties as required by law and customer agreements.

10. Children’s privacy

This website and the Banqloop platform are intended for government and utility professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices change or as legal review concludes. When we make changes, we will update the version and date above. Where required by law or a customer agreement, we will provide more prominent notice of material changes.

12. Contact us

Questions about this policy or our privacy practices can be directed to hello@banqloop.com.
